Bishop Brigante, Planet Asia and Ultimate MC

Sup folks!
Crazy weekend!
Had a late night session on Friday with Bishop Brigante, New L, Fingaz and local Calgary rap group Lethal Combo! It was a late minute session but it went really well!
Bishop Brigante is one Canada's biggest Hip Hop stars and was a pleasure meeting and working with him. He was in town to host the Ultimate MC the next night.

On Saturday night I attended the Ultimate MC Alberta Division (Click the title of this blog for the jump!) to show support to my homie L Rev from Lethbridge as well as a few other local emcees. Great event and lots of fun! Bishop Brigante did a great job hosting. Hip Hop pioneer and legend Planet Asia was one of the 3 judges for the competition and he also performed a small set afterwards with his partner Tri State. L Rev WON the entire event and did it pretty handily! He'll be flying out to Toronto in September to represent the Alberta Division in the finals. $5000 cash prize is on the line as well as a record deal with CP Records.
Had a chance to kick it with Planet Asia and Tri State after their show and they were arguably the coolest "celebrities" I've had the pleasure of meeting. We exchanged cards and numbers and will absolutely be doing business in the future!

Well now that the weekend's over... back to work!
Tomorrow I'll be tweaking some mixes for Gon Gotti's album "Omerta".
Gon will be in the studio on Tuesday.
Later this week I also have Don Castro, Hidden Elementz and a new client, Maxwell, coming in to record and mix.
Thursday night I'll be attending Classified's show at the Whiskey. Real excited for that and, per usual, I'll be networking and promoting Giant Star Records HARD!
Then Saturday night I'm attending my friend Ashleys bday party and will be playing some new music for everyone there.
Plus I'll be recording new Krumbz stuff!

Oh yeah... I put up a new dubstep/glitch track from Hidden Elementz on my website. If you get a chance please check it out!

Check Out Hidden Elementz!

Hey guys/gals! Just finished up a giant 35 track dubstep/glitch song with Hidden Elementz called The Branch. I also mixed Thunder as well. Check out their music by clicking on the title of this blog above!
This week I mixed a new song by Castro, The Branch for Hidden Elementz and recorded beatboxer Ominous. Tomorrow I have Castro back in the studio for some recording and then Gon Gotti will be in on Saturday to review what we have left to do for his album.
Saturday night I'll be attending The Ultimate MC @ Sait. I'll be networking but will obviously be rooting on some of my clients! Big cash prize for the event!
Then Sunday I have New L coming in to record his next track. Love that kid! I posted pics of his battle at the last KOTD @ www.GiantStarRecords.com and also uploaded some new music from him too.
April and May are gonna be hectic! Mixing an album for Cody Tkach as well as recording and mixing an album for a Christian rapper named Josh.
Sorry I haven't kept up with my blog as much lately... I shall... try... harder!
